If you think TJ Exteriors Inc. covers just the top and the sides of your property, think again! Our experienced contractors are dedicated to providing solutions to all our customers’ home improvement needs, including light interior remodeling indoors and extending living quarters outdoors with new decks.
While wood decks have long been a popular option, they can be a challenge to maintain and become unsafe and unattractive after many years. That is why TJ Exteriors Inc. has partnered with TimberTech AZEK™ to install durable, maintenance-free composite decking for our clients. Composite decking won’t rot, split or splinter. It offers the beauty of wood with color that won’t fade or peel.
A new deck creates a fresh-air space where you can enjoy solitude or gather friends and neighbors. TJ Exteriors Inc. can create an outdoor entertaining addition to your home that will increase your quality of life and the value of your property. The cedar wood and pressure-treated wood we use in deck construction both withstand the elements, but there are key differences.
For a gorgeous, natural wood deck that’s rot-resistant and doesn’t retain as much moisture as other types of wood, consider cedar. While the rich red color will fade over time, you won’t see the warping and twisting that’s problematic with other woods used for decks.
The most economical deck option is a build from green or brown pressure-treated wood. Most new planks feature a green hue due to the chemical treatment, whereas the brown is tinted to appear more natural. Both styles will fade to a silvery gray within a year, or could also be stained to your preference.
